The badge shows ACE recommendation for 3 credits, but nothing on ACE's own website... this transition gets better every day! <eyeroll> At least a badge exists.

ACE is usually a bit slow to update their website; and course providers don't usually put the courses out there to take until they pop up on the ACE database (and they find out early when the course is approved, but are told that it won't be on the ACE site until like 1-2 months out).

This is a pass/fail course. You must complete 12 Challenge assessments (these are like quizzes), 3 Milestone assessments (these are like tests), and 1 Touchstone assessment (this is a written assignment) with an overall score of 70% or better.

Pass/fail course? A Touchstone....yay....eye roll.....LOL
Wonder if it transfers for a BA in Communications at TESU.

Course is pretty easy, halfway done with it, started a day or so ago.

Update:  I guess it will not if Business Communications is UL.  I did not realize because 2 of my kids took it on Saylor, and TESU accepted it.
Does SL offer Business Communications UL?

SL Business Communications comes in LL which is all you need if you want the BSBA degree from TESU

Just heard back from UMPI The Sophia course will transfer to UMPI as BUS/COM 210 which is required!

That's great news for people thinking of UMPI. Just wondering though, haven't you maxed out on transfers to them? I would have assumed you would just finish off the degree by taking two or three terms with them since it's competency based for the remainder of your requirements.

I have 15 classes to take to hit the degree requirements. They have no limit on the amount of transfers you do with them for ACE, way more generous then the big 3 for the most part for a state school too! However, they do require you do 30 credits with them. If you transfer in 120, you can just do another 30 credits and get a minor on top of a BA, so for two degrees.

I can technically transfer in up to 5 more classes before I have to do double work. So I'm looking at my options. My term starts in January, so I have a month. Might be able to knock out 2-3 more classes before then Smile

Anyone knows how it transfers to TESU?

I just started this course for fun and am noticing a lot of overlap between it and public speaking. Also, the 4th unit overlaps with the developing effective teams, 1 credit course. Planning to do those courses alongside or back-to-back with the new communication at work course would be a very efficient choice in my opinion.

Good morning,
I have never taken a Sophia course. Can you explain how a Sophia course is structured and graded? Is there a proctored exam at the end. I always heard great things about the Sophia platform. Thank you!
