For me, I just received the email after completing Milestone 5 during my first Sophia.org course.
"Hey, nice job! You’ve earned a Sophia Success Scholarship good for $50 off your next Sophia course. The code will expire in 30 days, so just find a course you like and enter code XXXX at checkout."

Another thing to note for those just starting out: sign up and take first free course, use the coupon code to add the Student Success course, take second free course, use coupon code from that towards the Acient Greek Philosophers course. Bam 4 courses for $100!
