Can you tell us a little about it? How was it set up? Anything like the Cyber courses with reading followed by quizzes. Is 80% needed to pass? Do you get up to 5 tries on the quizzes like the Cyber courses?
Did you think it was a good class?
I know that is a lot of classes, but since you were the first to do it, it would be great to find out some more info!

I completed the Death investigation course. It took about 10-11 hours. You have 3 attempts to complete the final exam at 70%. It is much like the Cyber courses with course navigation a little confusing in some spots. The nine modules do not have a quiz at the end but have questions throughout the module that you must answer to move forward. Just my opinion but, I would NOT recommend allowing your child to take this course. There are many pictures of actual victims. It was a good course, but realize the subject matter that you are signing up for. It is geared toward law enforcement officers.

That is awesome. I wonder if it would meet the requirement of Criminology or just transfer towards the core electives for a BA Criminal Justice. The 3 UL credits would count towards the 18 UL credits.

Probably not. Criminology is the study of criminal and deviant behavior. Criminalistics refers to various forensic science techniques.

Are these like the TEEX Cybersecurity courses online?
Is there any proctoring? Is the exam open book?
$75 for 3 UL credits is a steal and can be used for a BALS degree!

So it seems it should be doable for most people and you get 3 tries at the final.

I took the Foundations of Fingerprint Comparison course. It's short and well-made. I found it very fun until the end.
There are no graded exercises until the two at the end, and right before you start, there's a warning that if you don't get the first exercise right on your first try, you fail the whole course. I found it very stressful for that reason, even though I'm an experienced test taker. I'm not entirely sure, but felt it was strongly implied that all 13+ questions needed to be done right to pass the first exercise. (The second exercise allows a second attempt, at least in some cases, and is only 1 question.)
However, I feel like worst case you could fail, pay again, and retry. It would still be cheap if you had to pay again. I'd guess you'd have to redo the rest of the exercises. I would guess that some people fail on their second attempt. I did pass on my first attempt.
So I feel like it's necessary to be slow, careful, and mentally alert during the exam. Although the instruction seemed very good, I did feel like it was tricky to grasp certain parts. But maybe it's just me.

I just finished the Death Investigation course. I did not find the material to be all that difficult, the course is very easy to follow and quite interesting. You need to complete a pretest, 9 modules, and a post test.
