We did consider Wyoming as a place to move. I honestly can't recall why we went with South Dakota, but Wyoming residents have it much better off than in most states!

WICHE/WUE has been around for a long time (I remember first seeing it shortly after I graduated from high school in 1988. Unfortunately, California was not participating in the program at that time, otherwise I would have absolutely taken advantage of it, and I might have had a different outcome.)

It's a shame that other regions in the U.S. haven't banded together to create similar programs that would help prevent the exact types of challenges that burbuja0512 describes for our youth.

I think New England has a WUE with a different name.

The University of Wyoming was $4000 in-state
WUE $6000/year Big Grin
