I learned a couple of big lessons:

1. Take the tests - you will pass them.
2. Schedule the tests - then study. That forces you to stay on a schedule.
3. Eat the frog (the name of a book) - do what scares you or worries you first - I dreaded math and English for years - I got a huge boost of energy when I finished both of them.
4. Power through it. I got so good at studying when I scheduled 4 tests in 4 weeks in August. It was actually easier than the other tests I took - I didn't have time to worry! When I took some tests I studied for months - not worth it!

Enjoy!

While it sounds SO much more than gross, I agree with GoodYellowDogs about eating the frogs first. Well, maybe not first, but early on. Do some courses or tests that you think you'll enjoy or do well on, and then, bite the bullet. Take math, science, writing, or a foreign language. Anything that you think you'll do poorly on. Sandwich it between things you'll enjoy. If you wait until the very end, the very end might be MUCH later than it has to be.

Brilliant advice!! I'm scheduling those exams and eating a frog at the same time Smile .... once the frog is digested I know there will be some light

I actually graduate tomorrow - conferral done! - GoodYellowDogs - 10-21-2014

So I got the piece of paper today - 2 working days after it was conferred. I was afraid it would be squished into my tiny street mailbox, but it was delivered by Priority Mail (with a huge do not bend sticker) at my front door. It has a really nice heavy cover, so nothing was bent or squished.

I also got an official copy of my transcript - interesting that when it lists my DSST and Clep passes it also lists what the score was. I'm glad I passed most with flying colors!

I have about 4 more days to decide if I'm going to do my RN (ASN) or a MBA. Right now I'm really torn.

Thank you for all your support - I plan to hang out here for a while to pay it forward! Smile

Great Stuff, Yellow and well done! Can you post a photo of the degree when you get a moment. I'm wondering is it in Excelsior purple or something more appropriate Smile don't forget the pencil to block out your name
