I considered Computer Science rather than my current CIS but chose CIS because of the math requirement. If someone is just looking for the title Computer Science for their resume, TESC's flexibility can be great, but if a person is looking to get into a job in programming it is important to follow a more traditional Computer Science route. Even if the courses are taken online, they should follow a typical Computer Science sequence. Intro to programming, data structures, operating systems, computer architecture, discrete math, etc. After taking a couple of programming courses, I am still clueless when it comes to building the smallest software project because of my lack of foundation.
