English Comp II - SL or PF - bs13 - 12-11-2013 The Pen Foster Advance Composition is much easier than Straighterline English Composition II. I completed PF advance composition in one week with Grade A(93%). I spent about 3-4 weeks to complete Straighterline English composition I and I got only 76%. Thanks to this thread on PF English composition. Thanks BS English Comp II - SL or PF - JJ65 - 12-12-2013 I started SL Eng Comp I and II about 2 weeks ago. Waiting on one essay final grade to complete Comp I and have 4 drafts to be graded in Comp II. Comp II is not that difficult. My approach was to complete all the quizzes before starting on the essays. This worked out well, allowing me to calculate the amount of time and effort I would need to put into the essays. Right now with Comp II, I only need a score of 50% on the remaining essays to meet the requirements, but with the positive and helpful feedback received on the drafts, I have easily been getting 85% + on the finals. The required reading, Frankenstein, is a good read, and you can find it online (google books) free. I have not taken any PF courses but would not hesitate to recommend SL Comp II. English Comp II - SL or PF - dmar001 - 12-16-2013 I would say with the combination of english comp 2 and business comm at SL those 2 classes primed me to handle online classes. I highly recommend those classes for people who are unsure if they can handle online classes. |
