Help! - Pinkie - 05-03-2011

Ha! Ok. Well, it was just a thought. Off topic for a second, what part of France are you from? I was trying to convince my daughter to study abroad in France, but she was nervous about traveling alone.

I actually live in NY now for a while because my family moved here...I moved about 4 years ago when I started high school

Try reading some of following, which was on my A&I Lit test (these are all available for free online)
John Milton, Paradise Lost
Herman Melville, Moby Dick
William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night's Dream

If you feel OK reading those and understanding what they mean, you may be fine taking A&I Lit.

Also try stopping by the bookstore and doing the sample questions. I forget if it was Kaplan or Barron or Princeton Review, but there are some decent CLEP A&I Lit guides at Barnes & Noble or Borders and you can try out the questions while sitting in the coffee shop or somethin'.

Good luck.

How come no one has mentioned this. Read through IC 2 or 3 times and take the test!

This one is a no brainer for me - much of the information is covered in current events, you probably had to take a health course in high school, and if not - as long as you read some of the health articles in magazines and newspaper it has covered most of it.

You can pop this one out in no time.

Personally, I did A&I but hated it. I love to read but hate to have to tell you what an author who wrote something so many years ago meant. Studied using REA which helped to prepare for it. But it would never be my choice for FAST credits.

My college doesn't accept DSST

Also, I didn't take intro to psych yet so even though it overlaps, it doesn't help because I have less than 2 weeks to study

So do psych or one of the other simple ones and follow P00057870's advice. Just go through IC a few times.

The only test that I took more than one week of study time on was Humanities. Even my most difficult tests like BL II, M&B, and Finance, I didn't study more than a week for. I figured that if I was going to invest a lot of time and I didn't pass, I'd really lost a lot, but if I did my best to learn it in several hours a night and a little more time on the weekends and was able to pass, that it was better to do a CLEP/DSST. Not sure if that makes sense, but the point is you probably DO NOT need 2 weeks to study for a test if you can dedicate at least an hour or so a day for a few days to it.

So - my opinion: either go take A&I lit cold and if you pass, great. OR do a few days worth of IC study on Psych, Management, or Marketing.

Just some thoughts... Smile

The marketing CLEP is one of the easiest. It should be easier for a non-native speaker.

Sorry, I didn't see that - of the CLEP tests, I believe Here's to your Health or Environment and Humanity: Race to Save the Planet are truly the easiest clep.

Here's to your Health has a lot of common information and Race to Save the Planet has a lot of stuff most of us are aware of, especially if you have paid any attention to the so-called "green movement".

Again, quick studies. Don't remember any major math or difficult science information.
