The first part of the test was really easy. I had to listen to a lady speak on a CD and then answer 5 questions... The next part was to translate a paragraph from English to French, the 3rd part was the same but I had to translate it from French to English. For the last part I had to choose from 1 of the given topics and write an essay about it. I think the hardest part for me was translating from English to French...but I got the 12 credits ![]() Absolute cheapest way to "test out" and earn credits? - HorseManiac - 04-03-2011 cookderosa Wrote:I'll add that you could apply for financial aid and see if you qualify for a pell grant (not loan- the grant is a gift). If so, it's about $5500. At TESC, they apply your grant in quartly payments (5500 divided by 4) and any overage is given back to you in cash. This is how I paid for most of my education. I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything on this from what I've been reading about it. Do you have to be enrolled in a college to qualify for this grant? In other words if I got my whole degree through testing out and didn't take a single class from a college then I wouldn't qualify? Sorry to hijack the thread! Absolute cheapest way to "test out" and earn credits? - CollegeStudent7 - 04-03-2011 Good question Horse. I'm actually interested in that answer as well. It was my understanding that you have to actually be enrolled in an educational institution in order to apply for FAFSA, as you need an actual FAFSA college code. I don't think you are going to find anybody who did this on here, and I highly doubt any US university would accept it...thank goodness, otherwise every Tom, Dick, and Harry would have one. That is why there are so many lawsuits. They are not qualified and do not know what they are doing because they never attended a proper University for training.
