*facepalm* Excelsior says I need two more classes - rickyjo - 12-13-2010 i would try it, but I'm in a hurry to graduate and want to do something familiar that has minimal chance of screwing up (it's my last class). Thanks for the good suggestion, though. As for ALEKS: In my specific case they tossed it out because I was maxed out on low level math credit, but I believe Excelsior does consider beginning Algebra to be credit bearing in most cases. *facepalm* Excelsior says I need two more classes - creative - 12-13-2010 ok, that makes sense--didn't know you had psych background. you should easily pass it then. The reason I asked about the math is I have seen a few threads on here that TESC is not accepting Aleks Beg Alg for 100 level credit- although I seem to see conflicting info about this. I was curious what EC does with that course. Seems like if EC accepts it then TESC would- crazy. I need to take a math course and was looking at Beg Alg. *facepalm* Excelsior says I need two more classes - rickyjo - 12-13-2010 Sorry, I have a background with Penn Foster, not psych, I don't know anything whatsoever about psych As for ALEKS beginning algebra, on my review I think it said that it was only tossed out because i was maxed out on other lower level math credit, I would double check but now that I'm signed up for Excelsior the unofficial review is gone and been replaced with an official review category that is currently blank, but I'm 99% sure that's the only reason I can't use it. I believe Excelsior still excepts it for credit. *facepalm* Excelsior says I need two more classes - creative - 12-13-2010 oh, ok, missed that-- the familiarity is with pennfoster not psych just curious what your experience has been with penn foster? i am looking at some of their courses. i see you have taken quite a few through them. *facepalm* Excelsior says I need two more classes - Maniac Craniac - 12-13-2010 rickyjo Wrote:I don't know anything whatsoever about psychTherefore, you are overprepared for the CLEP. For your next exam, try unlearning a few things, and then register. *facepalm* Excelsior says I need two more classes - rickyjo - 12-14-2010 I'm reasonably happy with them. I feel they are a tad overpriced, that their text suffers from the same problems that most texts do, and that they seem to have a knowledge deficit if you are intending to operate outside their program in any way (ACE, especially) but all in all I was quite happy. *facepalm* Excelsior says I need two more classes - creative - 12-14-2010 thanks for the info! |
