This feels like 2-3 classes in one. Same here. I got 89% on it. Getting a B I bet, it ruined my 4.0. But at least it's over. I'm definitely going to leave a different rating on bluera, I'm also pretty confident one of the test answers was wrong on their end too. RE: UMPI - ss20ts - 02-14-2021 I think I got a 93 on the exam. I ended up with an A in Financial Management. This is not a class I would take elsewhere and try to transfer in. Business majors need a specific number of UL courses completed at UMPI. Many places only offer this as a LL course which isn't the same. This is definitely a UL course and it shows. This was the toughest course I've taken at UMPI. I've taken 16 courses - most in the business department. Financial Management is just a tough subject. There's a great deal of terminology to learn and quite a bit of math. It does not transfer in as BUS325. RE: UMPI - BetaBen - 02-14-2021 (02-14-2021, 01:12 PM)ss20ts Wrote:Right. UMPI courses are more work. You have the course content then the Final Assessment which is an exam, paper, or project. The higher the course level, the more work. Sophia is all LL courses. Most courses transfer students take at UMPI will be UL. Your entire grade for the courses comes from your Final Assessment and you must earn a minimum of an 80 on it to pass the course. The English courses on Sophia are a lot more work though. More papers than UMPI. The learning platform is similar where all of the course content is self contained. We don't have outside textbooks. RE: UMPI - ashkir - 02-14-2021 Finance was definitely a beast, but I passed with. I would rather to take it at UMPI versus study.com or straighter line etc. Sophia's finance did not touch any of the same topics their finance did. This finance was upper level for business. RE: UMPI - ashkir - 02-16-2021 Operational Leadership, Organizational Behavior & Finance done. Next classes soon! HUM 103 and something else. hmmm RE: UMPI - Luiscastaneda25 - 02-16-2021 Oh Sorry to highjack the thread: does anyone has a list of alternatives credits like SDC, StraighterLine or Sophia that transfer to UMPI? The best thing to do is to complete all of the courses Sophia offers except the English and public speaking courses. Those are far easier to complete at UMPI. A lot less work. Less writing. Keep in mind that each degree program has different requirements so how a course transfers in for you may be different than ashkir who's list is below. He also transferred in some AP courses which may have impacted his transfer credits from Sophia. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UMPI_Sophia_Transfer_Equivalents Beyond the Sophia courses, it's easiest to finish at UMPI. Why? They offer very class needed to complete all of their degrees. You need to complete a minimum of 30 credits at UMPI. You also need to complete the GEC (their gen eds). You'll need a specific number of UL credits and most of them must be completed at UMPI. There are UL course completion requirements in the major/minor as well. Which program are you looking at? |
