It is SO inspiring to read as someone who never dreamed of having a degree, recently made the decision to start up again and I'm starting a new job as well. I also decided last week to transfer to WGU so this helps me immensely.

This thread should be pinned for all to read! Thank you for taking the time to document everything, Dina!!

I never thought I'd be able to get a 4 yr degree, never mind a graduate degree. There's so many options I never knew about...once I found these forums it made it much easier to plan out and execute.

Done and now I'm cross training to a new department hoping to set myself up for promotion next year. And....for the love of god....I'm thinking about a doctorate!
Talk to me....what are some online options? Should I do it? Anyone out there with experience completing a doctorate while working full time?

Especially if they pay.

"They" only pay for employee tier 1's school, not tier 5's. But there's a stipend in my father's will for his adult children that my mother manages. If thereĀ  are home repairs, new home purchase or education involved, a check happens whether we want it or not. So I think I'm ok financially on this as long as I don't chose a high cost program.

Thanks for the heads up!

Do it Smile Unless you find some grad cert that really complements your career path. Then you could do that first, and the doctorate later Smile
