You have inspired me to start my MBA as soon as I get my degree conferred on 9/16/16. Congratulations and good luck to you.

Thomas Edison used a clip from the video I did with them for a radio commercial that played on NJ stations and I didn't know it until my Facebook blew up. I don't mind but it was weird when I finally heard it on NJ101.5 while out and about with my family.

Crazy last couple of months. The year anniversary of my father's passing, my mom got engaged, daughter started the dreaded middle school, I had an unforeseen medical issue pop up and a tough learning curve to my new position. I wasn't sure if I wanted to stay with Amazon but an opportunity came up to work with a team that was a solid cultural fit for me. Now I'm charged up and excited again.

But when I was considering making a change, it was reassuring to know I had the BSBA and MBA on my resume. So many position descriptions state a 4 yr degree is required with a masters preferred.

Working for Amazon through peak (Amazonian for busiest time of the year) has been challenging, tiring and very very cool. Was looking forward to relaxing on my Thursday off but TESU wanted to know if I'd do a radio spot for them. This one wasn't clipped together from the web video - they had me record it in a booth. Very interesting experience, I have never done anything like that before. The media person coached me and I recorded it several times with certain lines done different ways. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out.

As we started, she told me my voice sounded scratchy and I told her I was coming in off a 12 hour overnight shift, could I please have some water? Smile

I just read through all of this, start to finish. It is SO inspiring to read as someone who never dreamed of having a degree, recently made the decision to start up again and I'm starting a new job as well. I also decided last week to transfer to WGU so this helps me immensely.

This thread should be pinned for all to read! Thank you for taking the time to document everything, Dina!!

Took a few months off from thinking about school at all to focus on achieving expertise in the department I'm in a Amazon. Done and now I'm cross training to a new department hoping to set myself up for promotion next year. And....for the love of god....I'm thinking about a doctorate!
Talk to me....what are some online options? Should I do it? Anyone out there with experience completing a doctorate while working full time?

Psst... RansomSoul's looking as well... if you two pick the same school and program for your PHD/Doctorate, that'll be awesome, you two can be study mates and "get them" done faster...
