Best part....since I hyphened my last name, Silbernagel-Krohne will be on the diploma. Another sheepskin with the Silbernagel name on it. Somewhere my dad knows his last name is on a degree even if he himself never had a chance to earn one. He made sure my bachelors and masters were paid for even though he didn't make it to see the graduations. I love him and miss him so much.

What an honor song for your dad. I am sure he is proud. Smile

For my "milestone" post (my 1,000th), I have to say, I admire you for your compassion/strength and I believe your father would be really proud of you.
To know that you care for him, he would reciprocate that in an instant. It shows that bond and love you have for each other.
Myself, I have a small grudge with my sister and other family members, but we all cry and talk things over (or yell at each other :confusedSmile..
We may be soft spoken and don't say it as much as we should, but we love each other and care for each others well being.

Your father is now one of your guardian angels, he IS proud of you and is shining up above looking over you.
I feel the same way when I lost my grandmother in 2010 ... but time does heal and I know she's looking over me.
I try very hard to get along with my eldest sister, even though we have so many "disconnects" and we think so differently.
The last couple of weeks have been strange, we've pretty much ignored each other... we email our concerns to each other instead.

Communication is key, as that is what we're trying to accomplish, to ease ourselves and let things go...move on, forgive and forget...
It's no longer "who is wrong" for us, but how to rebuild our relationship, especially when we disagree on so many fronts/levels.
Last year we went to a "Health & Happiness 8.5 day retreat" together, for exercise and meditation, and also to "let things go".
We cried together, let our feelings out and worked as a group to find ways to help each other... and heal mentally/physically.

I know you'll be there for your family (husband and daughter). I really want to be there for my family as well...
For myself, I will work on cherishing the moments I currently have with my family - love my wife and kids more.
Especially with my parents as I've been "putting them in the back burner" for the last 4 decades - they're my everything.
I hope you will continue on with your educational success and be happy with what you've accomplished, you ARE an inspiration!

Just so happy for you, and proud of you. It's amazing that you did all of this so quickly after graduating, and starting a new job. Every time I start to grouse about how hard things are, I'll try to remember your educational travails.

I'll be the second or third person.... As well as the spoiler, but whatever, I want to also congratulate you in being so successful in such a short time. You're awesome over and over again... http://www.degreeforum.net/off-topic/26738-one-us-summer-2016-tesu-invention.html

Girl you did good! Honestly what you got done in such a short time. It goes to show everyone that once someone's mind is made up they can do anything! Inspiring, uplifting, unstoppable that's what you are. A force of nature!
