Yes deadline was 11:59pm EST.

The wording is "ON or before Nov 1." This is November 1, by my West Coast calendar.

If you want to sell to the East Coast, then settle for that customer base. If you want to sell to the United States, change the attitude.

"StraighterLine’s requirement for all final exams to be proctored takes effect for courses purchased on or after November 1, 2012." How online proctoring works - StraighterLine

Travis, Theirs is a limited world outlook. I'm just grateful that it wasn't 11/1/12 GMT.

Everyone here is missing the point. Anyone ever hear of Chatroulette?

You. Get. To. Troll. Straighterline.

That's right. I'm going to wear a viking helmet, nipple clips,
and project retro porn on a sheet behind me. I mean, if I
have to pay for it, I'm going to have fun, dammit. Like Drew
Carey said, "What's the use of making money if you can't
enjoy spending it?!"

We need a stickied topic for all the best screencaps from
SL proctored exams, something to lighten up the board.

This is EXACTLY what I always DREAMED about in the 8th grade
and now I finally get to act out my adolescent fantasies...
Sister Mary Francis be damned, it's a wonderful time to be alive!

I don't blame people who have been using SL for being upset. It costs more and some people aren't happy about allowing "spying" software on their computer. However, with that said, I actually wish there were online proctored versions of CLEP tests.

Maybe Straighterline could convince them of all the simply wonderful reasons. Wait, they're competitors. NVM. lol

As long as traditional college expenses are increasing, CLEP and other alternatives are going to receive more business. The more business, hopefully more options open up. I'm sure as time goes on, more and more options will open up, cause there's no sign of college costs slowing.

I was a big fan of StraightLine, that is until today. I was told that in order to transfer my 6 classes. I would have to have the final exam proctored. The problem is, some of the classes I completed a year ago. So I just need to pay about 200 bucks and takes 6 finals for courses I haven't studied for in months. No big deal right ? That on top of the 3 classes I'm currently taking at NMJC. Oh well everything usually works out, and this will too.
