It looks like there was a ball dropped between TESU and Study.com at some point, and TESU was supposed to get a list of courses which were being renewed via ACE, and did not. THIS it turns out, is the problem with the CompSci courses listed - they "expired" via ACE on 9/30/21 (they did not), but TESU thought they were.

Study.com is in the process of sending all courses to TESU that were renewed, and TESU should be confirming them, hopefully soon (although you never know). So hopefully we will know more about what these courses will be accepted as going forward. Chances are, nothing will change and this will become a distant memory. Fingers crossed!

Oh, fingers crossed that everything goes back to the way it was in December!

This would be very good news for those of us considering our options in terms of computer science degrees.

Great response from dfrecore.

That was a very scary week for many of us.

Holy shit, this is good news! Thank you! This whole situation motivated me to complete Intro to Operating Systems 12/31 and they just applied it this week. If I can complete the other courses through Study.com, that would be amazing. Fingers crossed it all works out!

But yeah, so far, I have only advanced around 13/83 quizzes. Maybe later it gets tougher.

That course does require 3 assignments, so I can see why someone might not want to take it if they don't have to.
IF you score high enough, they will accept only 2 out of the 3 assignments.  I believe the 2nd assignment was not near as hard as the first one?  All we did was write something like, "I choose not to do this assignment."  They state somewhere in the descriptions that only two were "required."  Since these are pass fail courses, and you can get a 2nd chance on papers, we decided to take the chance.  All 3 of my kids did not need to do the 3rd paper.  The paper was overkill too.

Is there an updated list of what SDC courses TESU will accept now?

RE: TESU Eliminates SOME Study.com Transfer Credits [unconfirmed] - Lee586 - 02-04-2022

Software Engineering came in as lower level while Computer Architecture came in as upper level from WGU for me. Which means I need the Capstone and one more Upper Level course. Which is easier at TESU, Software Engineering or Network Technology?

Is the Network Technology TECEP almost impossible to pass?

RE: TESU Eliminates SOME Study.com Transfer Credits [unconfirmed] - rachel83az - 02-04-2022

The TECEP is very difficult to pass. I would wager that most people probably have to take it at least twice. Check https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Network_Technology_(CMP-354-TE) for suggested resources.

AFAIK, the class is easier than the TECEP. However, from what I've heard, Software Engineering is easier still. I would recommend Software Engineering over either Network Technology option.
