FEMA & FREE College Credit courses - rickyjo - 05-26-2009 I had a course I couldn't pass for the longest time. IS-253.. that was aweful. It took me four tries. I kid you not, it was the worst thing ever, I've only failed a couple FEMA tests out of 38...but 253 was just evil. Eventually I just looked up all the answers, some of those questions were worded in a tricky way. Just be aware of answers that sound great and are involved in the lesson somewhere but are not for the particular entity mentioned. Both of those courses have been approved by ACE for credit. I have heard of people using them at TESC. I haven't myself so I can't say for certain. It really couldn't hurt to take them. They are free and if you're doing ALEKS or anything else on an ACE transcript it's not going to cost you anything extra. FEMA & FREE College Credit courses - GringoInTijuana - 06-15-2009 I just did over 30 FEMA credits in one weekend with the help of this website... (FEMA-TEST-ANSWER) . This site, despite its name, does not sell or provide answers to the fema courseexams, but rather sells some very useful study guides that break down the actual time needed to complete each exam. They cost like $5 a piece. This is especially helpful for military people who want to rank up real fast. Get those bad boys into a credit bank account quick and you'll be hearing "yes sir" faster then you ever expected! I have 45 total FEMA credits now. Of these approx. 35 are worth college credit. I need to review the process on their website again but once the exam is completed you can have the emailed FEMA certificate sent to a this college that is affiliated with FEMA. Open an account with the college and then have that college forward a transcript to your college. From the courses I saw most should be easily accepted as electives. Could you explain more about opening an account with a fema-associated college? I'm at a community college, waiting another year before transferring to TESC. Do I need to register with FEMA somehow? I filled out the info in at the end of the first test I just took I'm an EMT - just about drooling over these courses.. FEMA & FREE College Credit courses - jackzack87 - 06-15-2009 ok - so do i understand this right - (I have 12 clep credits, 24 college cred, and 6 more clep planned this month) I can stock up with these FEMA credits - take say 25, for 25 credit hours - and then download the tranfer form, and send it to TESC (where I plan to transfer these hours to) along with my clep and college creds? Do I need to create some kind of account with FEMA, or just take the exams, pass, and save the nice little PDF certificate? Is it really that easy? Any help here? I plan on entering TESC in about 6-8 months from now - can I just take my FEMA tests and they remain in that "bank" until I request them sent ot TESC? I havent taken any yet, but I have ... about 25 ... on the to-do list ![]() FEMA & FREE College Credit courses - markp9114 - 07-04-2009 I have a question. I've never heard of these FEMA classes until now and it seems interesting. I highly doubt my community college is going to accept any of these for credit. I searched my schools site and didn't find any info. Anywho, I dont really NEED these credits, but the classes sound interesting anyways. I was thinking the certificates and whatnot would look good on a resume. So would I be able to do that? These classes are free right? I was thinking about taking all these classes: Disaster Field Training Operations DFTO so I could get a PDS Certificate of Completion. Is that something you print out or do they mail that? FEMA & FREE College Credit courses - peace123 - 07-04-2009 Please Note: Effective July 15th the college credit fee will be $75.00 per credit.
