Trying to decide between these two grad schools - norema - 02-25-2010 daniellevine Wrote:Thanks a lot for the wisdom. You are really an inspirational figure for me, to complete both degrees so fast. I'm very happy for that you completed them, and you should be proud of yourself. My mother has recently told me the same thing... which is that I need to ride this momentum and not put it aside. Right now I am completely engaged in earning credits, and that's after almost 10 years of saying "I really need to finish my degree." So, I can relate to you on that level. I just read a great article about the value of an MBA/ school, etc. Although this is just from a website Q+A, it's probably given me more insight about the value of learning than any of the other articles I've read combined. I whole heartedly agree with that statement. I believe and was told that I made a great manager, but I had not a lick of education in doing it. It's just my nature actually, I suppose, which makes since - being that my uncle nicknamed me and still calls me Boss since I was 4. However, the statement makes my point about doing what you love, or at least really enjoy. Well, listen to your mother and ride that wave, before you find yourself stuck on that deserted island. |
