This Algebra stuff is no joke. I've been using ALEKS, Algebra II for Dummies, Khanacademy, & Google. And I think I'm just as dumb as when I first started!!!banghead I swear I'd rather watch paint dry or watch reruns of MASH!!!
I would love to take ALEKS Introduction to Statistics but I've been getting mixed reviews from others on this forum about its "do-ability!!!" I personally don't know if I have the "testicular fortitude" to even attempt Statistics...yeah I know...I'm such a wuss!!!
eeya: Just wanted to say thanks to everybody for their help. And I am pleased to announce that this afternoon...I assessed at 73% for ALEKS Intermediate Algebra and my Math requirements are FINALLY complete!!!

Friday night I reached 73% in ALEKS beginning Algebra I was so glad to be done with that. With my old College Algebra and College Trig that is 9 math credits. I don't care if my degree does say Natural Science and Mathematics If I never see another math course I will be happy.

Congratulations on getting through your Beginning Algebra class! Looks like everybody's been kicking butt this week huh!?!!!
I told Bricabrac that I was gonna watch some videos on Khanacademy.org for Probability/Statistics to see how feasible it would be for me to attempt ALEKS Introduction to Statistics.
I'll keep everyone posted as to how that goes.

Well- here is the recap of my ALEKS stats today.
Time spent: 3 hours 10 minutes
Topics attempted: 3
Topics mastered: 1

I'll tell you what, I just can't IMAGINE taking the DSST. I couldn't solve anything without my notes. So, if you think you need stats, I'd say jump in and give it a try. At least you'd have the algebra wedge done when you start- and that's good for at least 15%.
In the meantime, here's something fun to ponder....
If the probability of any woman finishing stats is .42, but the probability of any man finishing stats is .51 then what is the probability of a random carnival worker finishing stats given that he used to be a man for 79% of his life before gender reassignment surgery at age 32, but is now a woman and expects to live till age 82.

Cook, talk about hit the nail on the head!!!!! I don't think any one will every question the amount of money statisticians make...they deserve every penny! And to get their doctorate a command performance. I could never!
