I know that Farmerboy on this forum completed his bachelor's degree through TESC (Dec 08) months before he graduated from high school (May 09). I don't know how, though. Jonasling, I know that you have been at the forum for a while and I assume that you have taken and passed a few CLEPs already. If so, you have proven that you are capable of college level work. This would also mean that you are capable of passing the GED. There are classes available and there are study guides like Barron's for independent study. Learning the information in a study guide (900 pages) and taking the practice tests will help you to be prepared just like CLEPs. Earning a HS diploma is easy enough, as some of the other posters have shown. IMO, a GED just looks bad. While going to college without getting a high school diploma/GED is tempting, I would also say that life happens and you never know how long it will actually take to finish a college degree, which makes having at least a GED while going through the college process (as an adult) a more valuable choice. |
