is it just me or do the IC questions for management seem easier than the ones in the collegeboard CLEP book? so i've studied and memorized half of the IC management questions so far and i decided to take a quick practice test in the CLEP book to see where i am. but when i went to the book, the questions seemed harder despite me actually knowing the terms though. am i doing something wrong? i'm starting to get worried even though everyone says this is one of the easiest exams out there haha >.<

Hi Blue,

One thing I would suggest is that, in future, it might be better to hold off on taking the CLEP mock exam until after you have finished studying. The mock exam will cover ALL the needed material, but you will only have studied HALF the needed material. So it really doesn't make sense to take the mock exam while you are still only half way through your studies.

However, assuming that you have made sure you fully understand all the material covered in IC (ie, not just typing the right words in the blank spaces), I would be very surprised if you failed the Management exam.

IC was great for this particular exam. If you are at all nervous though, you might like to order the COMEX Principles of Management book. I used it in conjunction with Instantcert, and did very well on the exam.

Try not to get too stressed out about the Management exam Jenny. Study hard, make sure you know all the terminology, and understand the concepts outlined in IC, and you should do fine.

Hope that helps,

Hey Blue,

I used the REA book for History, but that was before I found IC. IC should be sufficient for you. I used the IC Info Sys and Comp Apps for the Dantes Intro to Comp exam and don't know my results as of yet, but I'm confident that I passed. In summary - Use IC - use REAs as supplements - take pratice exams - don't overstudy.

Good luck,

Ridge

Perhaps, but.....never under estimate your opponent. If not prepared a well placed "Clep kick" to the head can leave quite a nice bruise. Big Grin

Point taken. A little clarification of mine: Study until you are confident and then deliver a headshot of your own to whichever CLEP is in your way.

hahaha you guys are too funny =] thanks for the advice! i dunno, i'm probably just overreacting b/c i don't know what to expect. and the fact that they don't allow you to retake a failed exam til 6 months later adds on the stress. i'll probably be much calmer and more confident after i take my first one and get some experience. thanks so much! you guys are really awesome! =]
