True and true. However I do not care that they are as rigid as a B&M, I want them to be different and flexible so I can get a degree quickly since I am highly overqualified from life and work experience. Even dealing with remedial CLEPs is a waste of time but I'm doing it to "play the game." Sadly, if my band in the 90's had sold just a few more albums, I'm sure my B&M school would have given me an honorary doctorate by now, for a reasonable endowment of course.

Yes, I'm cynical. I still find a great deal of hypocracy, self-righteousness and pretention in the "higher education" field. A school that rejects a D is not automatically better or more credible than one that accepts it, particularly from a non-traditional student with proven work experience. I may have gotten a D in 1983, but I manage people with masters and even PhD's today.

For the record, EC supposedly stopped accepting D's in 09 because it was a rule related to offering federal financial aid. TESC and CO are state schools and offer financial aid so as usual the truth is somewhere in the fog.
