My first test experience.. - lwmcc - 11-20-2008 If you've got a Strayer in commuting distance, that may be your best option (if the Strayers local to me are any indication.) When I started looking for a testing center, I checked the local CC and found they charge a $75 fee, on top of the $70/$80 for the test itself! Then I called Strayer, and their fee is only $20. The closest one to me tests once a week, every Thurs., and only allows one test per day (which, of course, equals one max per week.) So, after the first couple of weeks, I got smart and called the Strayer a couple of towns away; they have the same $20 fee, and run CLEPs on Tues. and DSSTs on Weds. So now, on the weeks I'm feeling especially masochistic, um, ahem, I mean industrious, I can take up to 3 tests per week! Incidentally, I've seen a lot of U of Phoenix students coming into the Strayers to test, so I guess the local U of P campuses aren't test center even for their own students. |
