It doesn't change the fact that by default, they include the end date but not the start date and you should be able to infer from above that the person means "We have provided you with what we have provided, we do not provide anything else."

Not to mention, she states that she specified the course start and end dates yet she only specified the end date; for the start date, she just stated "fall term". Clearly that's enough for her to use the word "specify".

Without taking a side, I'm rolling back some needlessly disputatious conflict between members. Leaving the thread open for now in case there's anything further on the original issue.
