It is definitely accredited. Get those transcripts translated to english and send them! UMPI should accept them.(10-26-2024, 01:54 PM)Avidreader Wrote: Which Mexican university is it? UNAM? IPN? As long as it is a public Mexican university or a private one with a RVOE number, the credits should be RA equivalent. Could just get them translated via Spantran or Scholaro and have them evaluated with a GPA value for 200 USD. Sending in those 15 RA credits could come in handy to save time and money.

However, if you submit a college transcript, you become a transfer student, and it's possible that you would not need the high school diploma at all. You have to submit high school transcripts which being international probably need to be translated into English and may need to be authenticated by an agency such as WES. Yes you will need any international college transcripts to be translated into English and evaluated by an approved evaluation service. UMPI has a list of those who are approved on the admissions link I provided above for international admissions. I now understand the requirements much better. I’m in the process of getting my high school and college transcripts translated into English and evaluated for GPA equivalency. After researching, I found that InCred and FCSA offer the best pricing for these services, so I’ll likely proceed with one of them. Since these transcript evaluations might take some time, I’d like to get started on any possible future transfer credits. Could anyone help me with a personalized degree plan? I know Sophia is a good starting point, but I’d like advice on the best route, especially considering my goal to work as an IT Project Manager. I’ve looked at Kylan11's BABA PM&IS Degree Plan, but I’m not sure if it’s optimal for my specific needs. The college Courses that I finished in Mexico and planing to transfer are: Computer Skills Reading and Writing Workshop Basic Mathematics Introduction to Information Technology Management Engineering Foreign Language I (English) Also, as a native Spanish speaker, I read in a previous reply that I might qualify for an exam that would give me credits to transfer to the degree plan inclusive UL, which could help save time and costs. If you guys can explain me that deeper i´ll apreciated Also could anyone explain how that works and what UL classes mean in the context of the degree plan? Thanks again for all the helpful responses! RE: International Student UMPI Admission process and Degree Plan - bjcheung77 - 10-31-2024 You're referring to ACTFL, it's an exam that can grant you Spanish credits, it'll come in for the language requirement and if you score high enough, it'll get you some upper level elective credits as well. Here's our wiki link: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/ACTFL_(American_Council_on_the_Teaching_of_Foreign_Languages) RE: International Student UMPI Admission process and Degree Plan - pedroso91 - 10-31-2024 (10-26-2024, 01:54 PM)Avidreader Wrote: Which Mexican university is it? What Courses can be acredited with those 12 credits of the Spanish Language speaking ACTFL? and should i pay the $20 extra for the oficial copy sent to the university? RE: International Student UMPI Admission process and Degree Plan - ss20ts - 10-31-2024 There are a few different exam options. Here's how they transfer to UMPI according to their transfer database. There's plenty of comments in the forum that UMPI's Spanish language class is brutal and you risk lowering your GPA. Sophia's spanish courses are a good option if you don't mind spending 2 weeks preparing powerpoint video expos and wait flr them to be graded. The advantage of ACTFL is the UL credits which you forcibly need and there's fewer cheap online options to choose from that are accepted by UMPI. I don't know how the Spanish courses are like in TESU, only that each course will cost around 30,000 MXN at the current exchange rate. Any additional courses from your UVEG transcript that are not deemed as equivalents to TESU or UMPI courses will go into electives to fill out the minimum 120 credits needed to graduate. For example, the UVEG English course will certainly end up as an elective because it does not match what is taught in US college English 1. What remains to be seen is if it will be valued 2.5 or 3 US credits. No one writes a dissertation unless they're in a doctoral program. That's when one will learn how to write a dissertation. Above I listed how the ACTFL exams transfer to UMPI. All of them do not apply towards the GEC and most do not have UL credit.
