Thanks for the advice. I might just wait for a while until SNHU India make it available. I am now progressing the MBA so having math related courses are not urgent to me, but a next step in the plan. Another way might be enter SNHU India with an available degree, and take the math courses as free electives. A lot of grad schools require math pre-requisite courses with grades on the transcript, instead of PASS/FAIL. That's why I would prefer taking math in SNHU over the cheaper Study.com, Sophia online learning platform route. I am now pursuing The UK MBA route, and it cost $5000 - $6000 only, with master level MBA from a QS ranked school. TESU is too expensive for a bachelor, even with the credit transfers. I am also looking towards SNHU India as it's cheaper. I know you are looking for major in math rather in CS but they are very adjacent for master/PhD purposes, as CS is technically an applied math, so to speak. Thanks for the tip. Let us know if you have any progress in SNHU India in the future. RE: Affordable Math degree for non-US (international) citizen - bjcheung77 - 07-06-2024 Just wondering, wouldn't an engineering related Bachelors better prepare you for an Engineering related Masters? Is there a reason for the second degree in Math? Are you planning to go into teaching afterwards or something different? There are so many ways to go into getting the Masters in Engineering degree, you want to make sure you have the prerequisites as it may have more classes and not just more math... They have not replied yet. RE: Affordable Math degree for non-US (international) citizen - freeloader - 07-10-2024 Unfortunately, OtterDen, this likely won't help you, but it might help others. One of the degrees that I would like to pursue if I have the time and money is the WGU BA in Educational Studies in Secondary Mathematics Education. It includes education courses but does not include student teaching/licensure. It includes a good bit of math and is broadly comparable to many bachelor's degrees in math: College Algebra Trigonometry and Precalculus Probability and Statistics I College Geometry Calculus I Calculus II Probability and Statistics II Mathematical Modeling and Applications Linear Algebra Abstract Algebra Advanced Calculus Along with 4 courses on teaching secondary mathematics The cost per six-month term is $4,025. If I felt confident that I could complete the degree in 2 or 3 terms, I would very seriously consider this, but I don't know about my ability to learn (and retain) the math content quickly enough to complete the degree that quickly. https://www.wgu.edu/online-teaching-degrees/educational-studies-bachelors-program/program-guide-baesmes.html RE: Affordable Math degree for non-US (international) citizen - OtterDen - 07-10-2024 (07-10-2024, 12:40 AM)freeloader Wrote: Unfortunately, OtterDen, this likely won't help you, but it might help others. The course structure is nearly identical to a Bachelor in Math degree. This is quite a good option for US/Canada residents. They never reply me too, I wrote twice, directly to the email and through that form. It's so mean I wonder how somebody on this forum got to them.
