Either way, i'll be busy in June and July so i'm hoping to start the program in the fall.

Huge congrats!  I have my MBA from TAMU-Commerce, it was a legit research based degree.

I am also in IT with decades of experience, like you.
For MBA, I recommend aiming higher as it's very much a prestige based credential.
Some lower cost yet prestigious options:

Illinois Urbana Champaign iMBA - $24k (or MS in management, $12k https://giesonline.illinois.edu/explore-programs/online-masters-in-management )

Boston University - MBA online - $25k

Oklahoma State- not sure if viewed as prestigious but is ranked well: ~$18k

I’m assuming work is paying at least partially, so these should be minimal out of pocket for you. BU is obviously the most prestigious but nobody will scoff at UIUC, especially in IT (it’s #5 for CS, so is highly regarded in tech, and the reputation naturally carries over to other degrees).

Edit: Indiana Kelley is #20 with a $26k MS in Business Analytics, also worth considering https://kelley.iu.edu/programs/executive-education-degrees-certificates/online-masters-degrees/business-analytics/index.html

There is always Georgia Tech OMSA but I don’t recommend as it’s quite rigorous and will take 3+ years, although it’s only $10k.

Question: do you really need the masters to get in to management? At many places the Bachelors you just earned would be enough. The Masters you can earn on the side…

There are so many options to select from when you reach the Masters level, here's a thread from a couple of days ago: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-Grad-School-Options

Here's also the big sticky thread if you ever wanted more options than the two you mentioned earlier in the thread: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-List-of-Cheap-Online-MBA-Programs-That-Can-Be-Completed-in-Under-1-Year
