I must have misread bxwhitse's original post. It seems they actually did take an online exam today.

Perhaps bxwhitse is already able to answer the above questions?
hilarious
Sorry about the delayed response, unfortunately life sometimes gets in your way when you really don't need it to.Smile

It was timed, I was given 2 hours to answer the 96(?) questions.

The software was user friendly, like I said, the critical functions of the CLEP exam were there, multiple choice of course, being able to mark questions for review with a summary being available for review at any time. It appeared to hang a couple times, which left me nervous, and it took several minutes for it to wrap up once I hit finish.

I've only taken a couple of Dantes exams besides this one and can't say which one was more difficult, although all the paperwork including payment is handled on-line, so that's a relief. Instead of bubbling in your critical info on the test sheet you provide it as you're opening an account for Prometric. Also, my proctor was confused, thinking I'd get a printout at the end since my score was immediately reported. You don't; you go to: http://ibt.prometric.com/dsst and print it out after logging in.

Yes, payment is on-line and immediately charged, like the Clep tests are.

Hello friend,
I wonder if you can help to register on line for intro to world religion from Dantes. When I clicked on the link you provided us in your posted it take us to registration for the test but it does not give us any option for test center or date and time. I contact my test center they have no idea about Dantes on line and even Dantes people did not know it either.

Thank You
Ray

The test was taken at my local CC, the test was ordered through them. It's taken over the internet but a local proctor must be present.

Only certain sites are doing it right now from what I've been told. You order the exam like you would the written one, and they set it up with prometric; in order for the exam to be taken the proctor at the test site has to log in at the same time you do.
