RE: What are the steps to transfer Arizona University credit to Pierpont - rachel83az - 07-31-2023 If you can find Spanish 3 & 4 from a Finnish University that is self-paced, open enrollment, and free/cheap, it might be a possibility. However, we don't know if Pierpont accepts transcript evaluations from ACEI. ACEI is, so far, the best/easiest/only? option for having Finnish transcripts evaluated. In theory, most schools will accept transcript evaluations from any NACES member. If this is Pierpont, you'd need to see if you can find a NACES member that will evaluate Finnish transcripts (I don't think we've found one yet). https://www.naces.org/pdf/NACES-Current-Members.pdf Some universities only accept WES (World Education Services). Some, like TESU, accept evaluations from additional evaluation services, such as ACEI. ACEI isn't an NACES member, but they are a member of AICE: https://aice-eval.org/endorsed-members/ If Pierpont will accept transcript evaluation from an AICE member, then ACEI and Finnish universities should work. (If you're confused by all the acronyms, you're not alone. I kept getting AICE and ACEI confused.) RE: What are the steps to transfer Arizona University credit to Pierpont - Avidreader - 08-02-2023 Once again, thanks for the replies. I have an answer from ACTFL which offers good news: Quote:Yes, the ACE status is in the process of being renewed; however, it has not been approved yet. I hope the reinstation of ACE status happens soon. I've skimmed your previous posts, threads and you're all over the place! It's OK, don't confuse yourself and follow these steps. I have a question, are you a citizen or a permanent resident? You need to be either before you can complete the BOG AAS, they'll contact you because of your foreign HS transcript. Quick question, do I have to pay the $400 to transfer the single credit? No. The single credit class is only $25 and no more. RE: What are the steps to transfer Arizona University credit to Pierpont - jg_nuy - 01-11-2024 We did this in the summer for our youngest. $25 for the course and then around $10 to send the transcript from ASU to Pierpont. But Halloween's over! Yeah, I did that and as I mentioned, just $25 for the class, $15 for transcript to Pierpont and then the $130 new student fee, and for myself, a personal transcript for $7, another $7 for transcript to UMPI... FYI, $400 is for all other classes at ASU Universal Learner, just not this 1 credit class... Thanks! RE: What are the steps to transfer Arizona University credit to Pierpont - rachel83az - 01-12-2024 FYI, even if you make a mistake and somehow take the wrong class, the $400 is completely optional. Sure, you're still out the $25 it took to take the class in the first place, but if you don't pay the $400 transcription fee, nothing happens. Literally. ASU doesn't care either way. They just won't put the class on a transcript, that's it. Otherwise, there will be no bills owed. No debt collectors after you. Only a slightly embarrassing wrong class in your private account for ~12 months until it falls off and ASU assumes you want to take it again. |
