Walmart pharmacy not serving in maryland i figured most of it can be done with cvs, and TB can be done with quest diagnostics, without doctor's order . RE: Where is best place to get required immunization for nursing degree - dfrecore - 03-09-2023 Urgent cares sometimes give shots. My husband needed to get a TB test to be a coach, I think he went to one of those Concentra places where they do worker's comp stuff. You should start now, because some of these vaccines require multiple shots over time. I'd probably just contact your school to find out what they suggest, I'm sure they get these questions all the time. RE: Where is best place to get required immunization for nursing degree - bjcheung77 - 03-15-2023 Speak with the institution you intend to study at, they may have a health clinic near by or even may conduct one on-site at the learning facility. For those who do not have a primary physician or GP (general practitioner physician, about 1/4th or up to 25% of the population doesn't have a family doctor), you can try the walk in clinics in your neighborhood. I suggest doing a search of anything closer to you if you're alright with biking, walking, otherwise something somewhat close for those who come/go by bus, metro, or other modes of transportation. RE: Where is best place to get required immunization for nursing degree - Silvious - 03-18-2023 Try walgreen too, they had a program that give a $5 discount per shot you take that's booked via their website. Vaccination should also be paid for by health insurance as part of preventive medicine benefits. For any vaccines that is OOS, if you are nice pharmacies could also order shots for you that arrive after a few days. I have had great help from staff that calls 5-6 pharmacies nearby that on unavail they just order it. (I believe it was hep A/B combined shot for that case). You should have MMR shot taken already, it's common to have those before 6mo. There should also be state-run vaccination site that generally has more restrictive medicine, check with your state's DOH. |
