Sure, but based on what you said, I doubt most people would be able to replicate that feat.

Additionally, a few of the 12 classes were filled by courses completed in the undergrad degree at UMPI.

With the changes they have been making, it seems the next few are having an easier time then me. So it'd be easier.

Any word on what changes they made?

So how many total pages did you write during your master's program?

Related: the UMPI and Umass Global MAOL degrees have the same courses. I wonder if they're both through the same online coursework provider.

Anyway, the price difference is notable, so if you're looking for an MAOL that's fast and dirty, go with UMass Global unless the UMPI reputation is worth it to you.

All UK Masters degrees are 12 months long if you wanted to go the traditional route.  Usually not cheap though.

We've talked about how they're the same classes many times. There are some differences. There are different professors. The coursework can and has been changed between the 2 schools. They use the same learning platform - Strut Learning.

The MAOL at UMass Global won't be fast. I've been told to plan for a minimum of a year. It's rare that a student completes this degree at UMass Global in a year or less.

UMass Global is brand new. The UMass system bought Brandman basically. It was UMass's way of building an online degree program without doing the work. It is odd as the UMass individual schools already have online degrees. A degree from UMass will be viewed differently than a degree from UMass Global.

If you're interested in a slightly different competency based degree, you can investigate and look into the WGU MSML instead. A UMASS Global MAOL will be looked at differently, but if that doesn't matter to you, that's a very good option as well if you decide against a UMPI MAOL.

I should have known this forum of experts would have known something so simple as the similar curricula. I hadn't thought to compare the specific platforms and course lists so I felt like I'd stumbled upon the Rosetta Stone or something. This forum really is amazing.

Thank you for the info on UMass Global's program. I knew about the Brandman purchase but not the detail of the program being comparatively strenuous.  I'll do more digging around to make sure I choose the right school for me.

Thank you!

Ashkir has a thread on here somewhere about completing the MAOL from UMPI. He goes through each class he had to complete and the amount of work involved. One class had over 200 pages written. Not a fast or easy degree at all.
