I'm currently taking Software Engineering. It's not much work and does not require writing code.

Make sure to read the wiki page describing Network Technology.

Thanks !

I like the Software Engineering course because you don't need to read the book, there are no exams and no writing code.
It took me about 20hrs to do the course.

The TECEP Network is a bit of a gamble.  Expect to study 20-40hrs.  The failure rate of this test is probably 25% to 50%.  So you could spend time studying for nothing if you fail.  I failed that test mainly because I thought the Study.com prep course + knowing glossary terms from the book would be enough to pass.

That being said, if I had to take that test again, I believe that I would have at least a 66% of passing the test knowing what I know now.

Sounds great. You could Try to save $1200 And still very possibly come up short on  Time and money. Time is money.

I was reading. The syllabus and it says that there are 2 exams. And like 5 written assignments and weekly discussion forums.  But you said no exams and 20 hrs ? Am I missing something.

Looks like I have either read an outdated syllabus or there are 2 versions of the course. One has 2 exams. The other has a final project.

Maybe you clicked on the wrong course.

Online Syllabus

6 assignments + SRS project which is really another 6 assignments.

What's the link to the course you have?

Look like the old course since the book is from 2010.   I took the course in Feb 2021.

Gotcha. Can’t wait to take it. I have to slug through calculus first. How big is the workload taking corner / cap and cis 351 all in one term ? While working full time and life ? 20 hours a week ? More ? Less ? I know it’s subjective, just an opinion ?

CIS-351 is actually one of the recommended possible courses for a 16-credit-term: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Thomas_Edison_State_University

I took detailed notes on how long each assignment took, forum posts, etc.

Your time can vary.  A conservative estimate:
30hr Software Engeering
40hr Cornerstone (a bunch of busywork, hours depend heavily on how fast you do the MyLab stuff)
60-80hr Capstone  (assignments are used in the final paper)
130hrs on the low end.  Say around 150hrs on the high end.    150/12= 12.5hr week.

When I first started TESU, I was spending 2hrs just doing one forum post.  Later on, I got my forum posts down to a Dominos pizza order, guaranteed delivery in 30min or less.  They pretty much always give 100% grades on forum posts. In my responses to forum posts, I only did 2 sentences each.

There are deadlines but you can work ahead if you want.  This will make it easier if something comes up in your life.  You can also request an extension to turn in an assignment.

You'll feel right at home at TESU.  With that courseload, there isn't much to worry about.

Perfect feedback. Thanks a lot !!

Thanks but 9 credits at one time With deadlines including an upper level cs course and capstone while working full time and life sounds daunting to me much less 16 credits. Wow !
