RE: Discrete Math - StudentOLife - 05-02-2021 Nice find on discrete math! Seems like international students also can use it which is a massive plus. 1. Does this mean TESU will consider the GPA/score for this topic? 2. Transfer tool, where is that? I know there's the wiki but is there a tool that we've built already for this site on which 3rd party courses are actually transferable to which of the big 3, that'd be really handy. RE: Discrete Math - rachel83az - 05-02-2021 No, TESU won't count it towards the GPA. But any graduate school that wants to know your GPA before admission will count it. Example: let's say that you only needed 3 classes total to get a degree: discrete math, cornerstone, capstone. You get a 3.0/B in discrete math and transfer it to TESU where you get a 4.0 in your capstone and cornerstone. Your GPA at TESU will be 4.0. But then you apply to a grad program and send them all of your transcripts. For purposes of admission to this grad program, your GPA is 3.67. The transfer tool is here: https://www.tesu.edu/admissions/transfer-credit RE: Discrete Math - celerius - 05-23-2021 (05-02-2021, 07:05 AM)rachel83az Wrote: No, TESU won't count it towards the GPA. Do you mean it won't transfer to TESU as RA credit? But TESU does not count any non-TESU classes towards your final TESU GPA. RE: Discrete Math - bjcheung77 - 05-23-2021 And in addition to that, each and every institution will have their own external and internal GPA for calculation purposes in the case for admissions, scholarships, etc. Anything taken at the school is part of the internal GPA, everything taken outside would be the external GPA, all ACE courses would come in as transfer credit or evaluation credit and will not affect the GPA. |
