yes, that's right.

1. Get 45 credits from sophia.org. This will enable you to apply to Capella FlexPath.
2. Pay $2500 to Capella, collect transferable RA credits in Business, Psychology, General Education. Make sure to discuss transferable courses with CUNY advisor before taking any course.
3. Transfer credits to CUNY School of Professional Studies. Choose Business Administration major.
4. Pay $4500 to CUNY. Take the remaining 5 courses at CUNY online.
5. Get a CUNY degree.

Total price: $7k

You plan on earning how many credits in 1 term at Capella? 60+? A term is 12 weeks. That's a lot to cram into 12 weeks. Good luck!

If their courses are at Sophia.org level, I don't see why I can't do that. I have earned 45 sophia credits in 2 months. But if I take a vacation for three months and spend all of my time taking the courses, I believe I can get more than 60 credits easily.

Do you have a reason to believe they are at Sophia level besides the fact that Capella is part owner of Sophia?

So, they accept Sophia general education credits. I have asked them. They said their Sophia-equivalent general ed courses are almost identical to sophia courses. Not 100% sure how similar they are but it's worth trying.

Oh I would never assume the courses are like Sophia. Sophia courses are not from Capella first off. Sophia from the parent company of Capella and Strayer and other organizations. Sophia is also all 100 level courses. You're talking about completing UL courses which are going to be far more involved including papers.

You can ask them. They said their sophia-equivalent general ed courses are the same. That means other 200 and 300 level courses won't be too difficult either. No one on this forum has tried yet I guess... I will buy one subscription term for $2500 and see what happens. However, you're right about writing requirements. They said they take two days to review a writing assignments. So you want to take English writing courses at the last. They can take longer than other courses due to instructors taking two days per each review.

It's not just English which will have papers. I haven't attended Capella, but I've looked at their CBE program for grad school and there is a lot of writing in that.

They give you 'Try a course' one week trial option. I will use that and see if the courses are similar to that of Sophia.org.

Give that a try and see what the courses are like. I would think you'd get to see the course syllabus during that time so you know what a class may be like. Keep in mind that they're all not the same. I am interested in Capella's Flex Path for grad school. So far it's come down to them and Walden. Not over either one because of reputations. Walden has something funky going on. All of their Tempo MBA's have disappeared from their website and they're being sold to the parent company of DeVry which isn't a good thing in my book. I wish another RA school offered a MBA w/ Project Management as a CBE program.
