Intro to Business law - Nodean - 05-08-2006

I'll let you know how it goes on Thurs Afternoon. I am done with my B.A. after this test but I'm leaning towards taking statistics as well. I need it for a masters program I'm applying too and they will accept a clep. I'm nervous about it though the last math class I took was elementary algebra ten years ago and I still count on my fingers...

How did you do? I bet you were out partying after that final CLEP!!!

Hey ChristaKB,

I took the test thursday. I rushed through it having learned the previous evening that a friend had passed away. I wasn't a 100% and 59 is my lowest score thus far. That being said, I had no previous experience with Business Law and felt well prepared by using IC exclusively. I studied for a week about 1.5-2hrs a day. there were quite a few contract scenarios but nothing as detalied as most of those found in IC. Some questions I wasn't familiar with but I thought that the answer choices were obvious enough to reason out. I finished the test with almost 30 minutes to spare. If you feel comfortable with the IC material you will do fine. Good Luck!

P.S. That makes 15 units in just over two months!

Nodean,

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. It must have been very difficult for you to face the exam the very next day.

But you did it...and you passed! For that, you deserve an extra special:

CONGRATULATIONS!

I can not imagine how hard it must have been to concentrate! I am amazed you even took the exam.

But I do believe congratulations are in order because wasn't this the last exam to get your BS??

This proves again that here at Instantcert we're dealing with some very special and determined people. I know some people think we're taking the "easy way out" by testing out of these exams but you all know nothing is further from the truth. It takes talent, a LOT OF HARD WORK, never ending DETERMINATION and DISCIPLINE. These skills are probably what we'll benefit most from in our future careers, the degree is only a piece of paper.

Oh, and of course thinking outside the box will help us for years to come!

Hats of to you!

Christa

Any questions about that environmental stuff (section 2 on IC)?

Thanks,

Christa

Thanks for the kind words. I'm not quite done I have one measly unit left but Saint Mary's College of California (my soon to be alma mater) offers one unit weekend college courses and I'm going to take on next month and I'll be done!

I thought about the test and don't remember a single ? on Environment law or policy. Maybe one ? on the UCC. Very little if any on warranties of title. There were 100 questions in all a lot of contract law, minors etc., Not much on antitrust. Nothing at all on fraud checks and who is/is not a holder. In General by knowing the IC stuff you will be fine! Good Luck and let me know!

Just took the test and passed with a 67! Thanks to IC and the Barron's book for back up but mainly IC!

Like you said Nodean, no surprises. IC prepared me well enough to pass. I knew there would be a question about the Wagner act, they just can't resist hilarious.

No questions on checks, holders etc. One question on minors, some on torts, promissory estoppel and workers comp.

Finished 100 questions with 23 minutes to spare.

All in all not a very difficult exam. Very doable (with IC of course).
