Since there's no guarantee that you'll complete it in even 3 terms, that could lead to 4...or 5. I think the model isn't right for everyone, and think that if you can't prove to yourself that you can do 30cr in a single term, then you may not be able to complete your degree at WGU in a single term, doubling the price, which some people may not be ready for. I also never mentioned the "normal" Study.com page, because I don't think that's a fast pace at all. And I don't think you have to limit yourself to Study.com for the courses - lots of fast, cheap ways to get credits elsewhere as well (CLEP/MS, Saylor, DSST, CSMLearn, ALEKS, WGU-Academy, SL w/coupon, Sophia w/coupon, etc.). It's not a rush to do it in 1 term, rather it's a "prove that you can do lots of credit in a 6-mo period" before you commit. For many people, who can't do that, you may end at WGU, not be able to finish, and not have graded credits that will transfer anywhere. So know what you're committing to, and try a "practice run" if you can. It will just make your life easier in the long run. I also think dragging it out to 2 terms may make things harder, not easier, to finish. Just my opinion. |
