I called today and was told to try an email to plea for an exception. I was denied. Oh well, I only have 3 total classes left. I can't complain...I just have to get it done. Can anyone tell me where on the site (TESU) I go to find the book and how to buy/rent it? I can't find it. Gloddy RE: Difference between Guided Study and Online Capstone - jsh1138 - 04-25-2018 the e-book was free with the course materials, it should be in the syllabus or something somewhere there's also a link to it here: http://degreeforum.wikia.com/wiki/TESU_Capstone RE: Difference between Guided Study and Online Capstone - allvia - 04-25-2018 (04-25-2018, 01:26 PM)jsh1138 Wrote: the e-book was free with the course materials, it should be in the syllabus or something somewhere jsh1138 - He is in need of the Business Capstone book for BUS-421, your reference is for the Liberal Arts Capstone (BA degree programs) Gloddy - The book is currently the same for the guided study or the online version, and it is as listed below: Crafting & Executing Strategy: The Quest for Competitive Advantage: Concepts and Cases ISBN 13: 9781259732782 ISBN 10: 1259732789 You can rent it online from a number of resources (including Amazon.com), https://www.textbookrentals.com is a good site to compare buy/rental prices. Also, from what people have posted the course is very dependent on the case studies, so it is recommended to have the correct version (vs an older one). Many people here have older version of the textbook they used to study for the once available Capstone TECEP exam (that was all about the lists, nothing about case studies) RE: Difference between Guided Study and Online Capstone - jsh1138 - 04-25-2018 yeah i'm sorry, i was thinking of the one i did, my bad RE: Difference between Guided Study and Online Capstone - allvia - 04-25-2018 (04-25-2018, 02:30 PM)jsh1138 Wrote: yeah i'm sorry, i was thinking of the one i did, my bad Completely understandable and still good information for many others. RE: Difference between Guided Study and Online Capstone - Gloddy - 04-25-2018 Thanks for the information. It is greatly appreciated. RE: Difference between Guided Study and Online Capstone - pws - 05-25-2019 For the Guided Study version, there are no discussion posts, but those are instead replaced with extra writing assignments. How long/difficult are they? And most importantly, are those extra assignments unrelated to the final paper—i.e., won't be used as part of the final paper? Quote:Online discussions (6)—23 percent For the grading of the GS, the online discussion would be none, and the written assignments would bump up to 11, and be worth 68%? RE: Difference between Guided Study and Online Capstone - ChilliDawg - 05-30-2019 I just completed the Online LIB-495 Capstone with Mr. Argen. Online was definitely the way to go, for me. I like getting 23% of my score from discussion posts. I am a blabbermouth, anyway. So, very easy for me to do the weekly posts. The discussion forum posts are generally short and sweet, as long as they are relevant to weekly topic, and are constructive input for your peers. |
