RE: Patten University Undergrad I/O Psychology Progress Thread - Nodaclu - 03-19-2018 That could very well be. Since I didn't officially start classes, I can't say for sure. I would recommend reaching out to the school directly. All of my interactions with them have been prompt, courteous and informative. RE: Patten University Undergrad I/O Psychology Progress Thread - frank.f.franky - 03-19-2018 How much does Patten cost? http://patten.edu/admissions/online-tuition/ I hate when they don't spell it out, $1,316 per term? and I can take 5 classes? by their math 120 hr./15hr equals 8 terms times $1,316 equals $10,528, seems too good to be true. Am I missing something? RE: Patten University Undergrad I/O Psychology Progress Thread - jsd - 03-19-2018 $1,316 a term, but you can get discounts if you signup for more than one term at a time and commit to longer. You can take as many courses as you want per terms, I did 9 in the one term i spent there. It's competency-based like WGU. The courses are garbage and I bailed out, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't be a good fit for someone else. They are self-paced and you have a course mentor you can reach out to if you need to. the problem I was running in to is that the courses were not designed by the same people who built their exams, and the material was consistently unrelated and contradictory. RE: Patten University Undergrad I/O Psychology Progress Thread - xjarhead1999 - 03-19-2018 I have been having an email conversation with them this afternoon. You have to take classes in the order they have for your degree path. The lady seemed pretty insistent that it cannot change. RE: Patten University Undergrad I/O Psychology Progress Thread - frank.f.franky - 03-19-2018 From the catalog: pg 57 http://patten.edu/downloads/Patten_University_General_Catalog_2016-2017.pdf Course grades are calculated as follows: Online course grades are based on two summative assessments (typically a final exam and final project) and three graded unit exercises (found in Units 2, 4, and 6). Summative assessments are worth 440 points each. The three graded exercises are worth 40 points each (120 points total). RE: Patten University Undergrad I/O Psychology Progress Thread - jsd - 03-19-2018 You can skip the three unit projects and it won't hurt your grade. They only count them if you opt in. The final project (typically a paper) and final exam are both required (unless things have changed since I went there in early 2016) |
