that would make it much easier

I think so.

This, exactly. I knocked out six exams in three consecutive weekends.

Also, it's not listed on the promotion/website but the person on the phone says they're actually good until 10/31.

Promotional value ends then. So I'm guessing the "free" exam disappears after then but you can still use the other vouchers.

I don't think the "registering" for them prior to the expiration date would suffice. I enter the voucher code before taking my exams so I assume I'll have to use to voucher codes (by taking the exams) prior to the expiration date.

Also this special has been running since April (I posted on this forum about it) so 9 exams in 7 months is actually way slower than my pace!

I'm not so poor that I have to worry about that

its nice to get a discount

but I'm not going to "suck it up" just to save a few 100 dollars

I have done 9 Davar exams in 5 days and I am doing my 10th today, the 6th day. I am planning to another 5-7 in the next 7 days. It's mostly to save money, because many of these would be less stressful taken elsewhere. I am skipping some of the ones that would be easiest for me. I haven't taken a DSST but it seems like the amount of prep for the Davar would be enough for DSST too.

I just wish I lived near a test center. In my area they are not flexible either, at least not for the CLEP days and times. DSST is probably better than CLEP.

The exams are pretty similar, but I can say that getting my transcripts from DSST has been like pulling teeth. They don't send the scores automatically like CLEP does, so I requested a transcript to be sent to WGU (where I'm transferring) and paid for the "rush" and it ended up being $55! And it's been almost a month since I've requested! If time is not an issue I would still recommend DSST.

I was only comparing DSST test center availability to CLEP's, but thanks. This is good to know. That sucks. Getting our transcripts is pretty important.
