Help on degree choice/plan - bjcheung77 - 05-23-2017 Out of all the BSAST's, I think "Technical Studies" is the only odd ball at which it can take those credits. It's a weird one and that's the reason I mentioned it. Otherwise, you are better off with a BALS/BSBA. Help on degree choice/plan - Driel - 05-23-2017 Thank you all for your inputs. I have just written TESU to provide me an evaluation for BSAST Technical Studies. Hopefully most of the credits would apply in the AOS. You want to send in your application to WGU as well, it's FREE application month, see how many credits they provide you and which degree option is available. You can just log into MyEdison, and then Academic Profile, then Academic Eval, then where it says "What if I changed my program of study?" choose BSAST in TS and you're golden. Help on degree choice/plan - Driel - 05-24-2017 That doesn't work at all. When I did that for BSBA GM, 50SH credits from my foreign credits applied. But when TESU prepared one themselves only 16SH credits from my foreign credits applied to BSBA GM. Looks like some discrepancies somewhere right? Help on degree choice/plan - Driel - 05-24-2017 WGU seems to be for US residents when i checked. I'm not based in the States. The other option would be the biggest of the Big 3 - Excelsior, 160000 alumni can't be wrong. Thomas Edison State U is the second largest, but most preferred as "we" know what courses go where and because of lesser UL requirements. Help on degree choice/plan - Driel - 05-24-2017 Yeah, thanks anyways!! I'm just waiting for what TESU would provide me for BSAST Technical Studies. The "What If Function" from the Online Student Service Portal isn't the same as when TESU does the proper evaluation. I used The "What If Function" for BSAST Technical Studies and about 50SH of my foreign credits were applied and it covered 95% of the AOS which is what I want. But I'm still waiting for TESU. Excellent! That's what I was rounding it to be for the Technical Studies component as well, you just need about ~60 credits in general education requirements. You can probably finish this degree in one 12-16 week term (capstone) and during that 3 month for Straighterline to finish up to 60 credits or more in total. Help on degree choice/plan - Driel - 05-24-2017 That's true. I'm praying it ends up so. ![]() |
