VidAngel seems like a really awesome filter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XOjdARr87I You can watch a movie with any filter for $1.
What's more, they're in the middle of a legal battle right now because they're about taking over the industry because they're so cheap. You can donate a dollar or more to help them out if you want.

It sounds like much of your problem is with Hulu and Amazon as they are responsible for the commercials that are inserted. You might try setting the parental controls and see if that limits the commercial content although they should limit it according to the show.
