Next Step - Transferring - brown2am - 05-15-2016 I cannot thank you guys enough for your feed back. What a great community. Dfrecore, you have no idea how much this means to me. I often get discouraged and to visually see my progress and actually see a plan is amazing. Next Step - Transferring - brown2am - 06-01-2016 I passed the Information Systems and American Government CLEPs last week. I also had a quick question: I took Human Sexuality at UC and received an A. I took Calculus 0 and received a D ( missed final due to illness ). Will these two courses transfer? I am trying to get some kind of deal worked out to retake the calculus course. However the D grade probably won't count towards a degree requirement. If used as a free elective, it would. If you retake it and get a better grade, then all should be fine. You should be able to transfer anything with a D or higher into the degree program. Unless otherwise stated on their website or a specific program course requirement where it needs to be a C or higher. Next Step - Transferring - dfrecore - 06-01-2016 For the BSBA, you can transfer a D in Calculus in - the only things they want a C or higher in are your Area of Study/Core, and English Comp I & II. So you will be fine. Human Sexuality will transfer as well, I took it and they brought it in as BIO-210. It actually will probably count for science, which is crazy since there was NO science involved in it (I think it was closer to a psych course - at my CA state college, it was an Anthropology course - so definitely not science). If they call it something else, they will consider it in the Knowledge of Human Cultures section, or else Gen Ed. Since you've already taken Calculus, I suggest you jump on ALEKS math and do the 4 courses there. They should certainly be easier for you than most of us! Good luck! I have been reading a lot of history as a hobby and decided to take the test on a whim. I am not sure if this will even fit into my degree program as a gen ed. Did i just waste my cash?? Next Step - Transferring - brown2am - 06-12-2016 Alright this is going to be my last question for awhile. I have my whole schedule figured out except for the 2 gen ends. Can I take the social sciences and history CLEP and get credit for these 2? I have already taken euro history , American history, am gov etc. would these fulfill 2 different courses? |
