CSU Global CBE in Information Systems Analysis and Design - tsimmns - 08-01-2015 Can you take this without actually enrolling at CSU? With my below 2.0 GPA from my original B&M I'm looking for upper level computer classes that would transfer into TESC for the CIS degree plan and this seems like it would fit perfectly. Yes, they can get you signed up without enrolling you. CSU Global CBE in Information Systems Analysis and Design - laughter - 08-04-2015 I'd been considering taking only CSU's Information Systems Design and Management, but now it looks like I might have to take Info Sys Analysis and Design, too. For those who have taken the exam, how would you gauge the difficulty level for a non-CIS major? I'd have taken the Computer Concepts and Applications TECEP, the CSU Info Sys Design & Management CBE, and all 6 TEEX credits prior to attempting this. Any chance I'd be able to grasp the content and pass the Analysis & Design CBE with such elementary CIS knowledge? The subject is difficult, but the CBE is relatively easy. CSU Global CBE in Information Systems Analysis and Design - tsimmns - 08-05-2015 If you end up not passing any of these CBE's regardless of if it's CSU, Uexcel, Straightliner do they show up as a fail somewhere on your transcript especially at TESC? If you fail, they give you a retake. Otherwise, it shouldn't show up on any transcripts (other than the one at CSU). I'm not sure how/if they list it. SL will let you retake the course (you pay the fee again). Not sure how Uexcel shows it, my guess is they wouldn't. Most CBE are setup to not hinder you if you fail, because they are intended for students who may not be sure if they should take the class. The general rule is they can't hurt you if you fail. CSU Global CBE in Information Systems Analysis and Design - tsimmns - 08-05-2015 Thanks Mednat. It appears like others on this forum that you are on the CIS path at TESC. I am thankful for finding this place and all the information on here. I'm officially enrolled for my first course since 2011 and can't wait. While it's at a local Community College, I plan on getting the ball rolling with SL this week or next to finish the requirements for the TESC Mgmt or CIS path. I think tsimms would benefit from reading this thread. http://www.degreeforum.net/general-education-testing-discussion/20899-credit-exam-csu-global.html CSU Global CBE in Information Systems Analysis and Design - tsimmns - 08-06-2015 Thanks Sanatone. I read almost all your post as you and other seems like an inspiration. Read the thread and it looks like just through them you can knock out the UL courses needed for the CIS degree from TESC.
