Just chiming in with a little information about the SNHU College for America program. They only offer an Associate's in General Studies (I think. I know it is an associate's for sure). And to get into the program you have to work for one of their company sponsors. It is not open enrollment and they don't offer any other degrees.

There is an interesting program at UMass Lowell that allows someone with any Bachelor's degree to complete a BSIT by completing 30 credits with them. The appeal of this program is its flexibility. You may choose which IT courses you want to take. They have 3 Linux courses including a course in shell scripting. If one were to complete a quick degree through one of the "Big 3" they would them be able to finish a BSIT by building a degree that fits their needs. It is also coming from a fairly well known school. UMass charges $1095 for a 3 credit course which is not bad compared to many of the programs out there.
Taxes: You must be enrolled in a degree program to use the American Opportunity Credit and it is limited to four years, but in my situation it is worth more money than the lifetime learning credit. I believe the lifetime learning credit only gives you 20% of your education spending as a deduction. You would have to spend $10,000 just to get a deduction equal to the first $2000 that the American Opportunity Credit covers at 100%. Some of the business majors on here may have a better understanding. This is just my take from reading the IRS documents.

Good information there about the UMass program. I hadn't checked out the courses they offered until you mentioned the Linux courses, but the 2nd bachelor's is something that is definitely on my radar. I was poking around a few of the other UMass sites after I read your post and noticed that they also offer a 2nd BS in CS (I think from a different UMass campus, though maybe), so even if I do go with WGU for a BSIT, I still have some 2nd BS options.
