Westerner Wrote:Cool! I would've liked to take that but it would've duplicated the Humanities CLEP I took.

If this is true, then the class isn't a free elective, it's a general education course, in which case $300 is a great course price. Does anyone know for sure how TESC transcribes these courses? If they ARE humanities, this is very useful information!

cookderosa Wrote:I'm not arguing with the content or why you took it, in fact, I'm all FOR taking classes based on content over ease of creating a degree template (not the most popular position here).
Yeah, that’s my position too Smile

cookderosa Wrote:My comment was just referencing that you said $300 was a "good deal" for a free elective. $0 is my favorite free elective price lol.
Ok, that makes sense Smile I’m not nearly as knowledgable as you on this whole “type of credits” thing Wink

I'd check with TESC because they are the ones that have the final say-so.

Yeah, I’ll send in my transcript and see where they put the credits. Meanwhile, my coach can check with CP Research. Since they have a partnership with TESC, they’ll probably be able to figure it out faster than I can Smile

According to the page linked above, "Social Justice" is recommended for Social Sciences, Comparative Worldviews is recommended for Humanities, and Community Service recommended for Free Electives. Of course, I don't know how TESC evaluates them, but that is the CP recommendation written on the page.

Yes, I confirmed with my coach that the Social Justice course I took can go under Social Sciences or Gen Ed Electives. Only, since TESC already filled those spots, I'm not sure how they'll categorize the course once I send the transcripts in :? I guess we'll see Smile
