CLEP PDFs published by the CollegeBoard with Scoring Scale (and PT) - irnbru - 10-25-2012 This is a great find; thank you, Publius! silvis Wrote:Oh, you are right. I had looked at the College Mathematics and English lit tests, which require perfect scores to get the 80. It makes sense that the longer tests have an error margin. Thank you for the update; I was starting to get worried about those requirements. Just want to head off any misinformation but the College Mathematics pdf specification states there are approximately 60 questions, of which 50 correctly answered are required for a scaled score of 80. English Lit states there are approximately 95 questions, of which 85 correctly answered will earn a scaled score of 80. Think I've read that right? CLEP PDFs published by the CollegeBoard with Scoring Scale (and PT) - BGSU_Alum_86 - 10-25-2012 I want to provide an answer to those of you who are wondering how the perfect score of '80' can be achieved by answering less than all the questions correctly. It is not because of any "curve". If you visit the CLEP website, you will come across the following 2 sentences somewhere within the "Description of the Examination" section: "The examination contains approximately __ questions to be answered in 90 minutes. Some of these are pretest questions that will not be scored." CLEP PDFs published by the CollegeBoard with Scoring Scale (and PT) - Westerner - 10-25-2012 None of the links work for me! I even tried typing in Clep (exam name) in the website’s search bar, and the right result comes up (a PDF link, I think), but when I click on it, it gives me an “oops, not found” page!
CLEP PDFs published by the CollegeBoard with Scoring Scale (and PT) - Prloko - 10-26-2012 Publius Wrote:Looking for a copy of Prloko's pdf on the web, I stumbled across all of these. They're all from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor (Belton, TX), though they all seem to be published by the CollegeBoard. Not only do all of them contain a practice exam, but 2nd to the last page is a scoring scale which shows you how many you need to get correct. They mention in the beginning how CLEPs are scored as well as some other info. I'm glad you were able to use the info I gave you to find the rest. I was going to ask my proctor to provide these for me and send to you, but you beat me to it. Good job finding them on the web. CLEP PDFs published by the CollegeBoard with Scoring Scale (and PT) - Publius - 10-26-2012 Whoa, I'm guessing they saw a rapid increase in traffic and took them down/relocated them/or something. That's all I can think of. I have all of the pdfs saved, as I'm sure, others on here have. Our best option is to find a free place to put them up so we can can access them again. |
