College Composition Mod and TESC/Excelsior - NAP - 09-10-2011 Hi Burbuja0512! I understand. It is a risk to not be enrolled, but that doesn't give 100% protection either. I was so pleased to see your updated signature. Your husband has earned a lot of credits already. He's definitely not keeping your pace, but over 30 credits in less than a year is full-time in the traditional setting. Congratulations to both of you! I know that you are doing a great job of supporting your husband and son with this process. College Composition Mod and TESC/Excelsior - burbuja0512 - 09-10-2011 NAP Wrote:Hi Burbuja0512! Thanks NAP Yes.. DH is moving slowly but surely and I'm proud of him considering how much he hates studying. Ha ha - he is the type that will spend all day reading and learning all sorts of things, but would not want to read the same material if you called it "study." DS is doing really well too and just scored a 70 on his Peterson's Intro to Computing so I think he's finally ready to take that one. /hijack thread College Composition Mod and TESC/Excelsior - dcan - 09-10-2011 FYI CCM + Essay (2 essays) will also nab 6 credits at TESC and fulfill both of the written english requirements. I've heard that the 60 question CC + essay is harder. I was not given the option by my proctor, I was told (mistakenly, apparently) that the essay was required, and was surprised when I was eval'd at 6 credits. So that may give you another option to consider. For what it's worth, I'm taking ENC-102 right now anyway, because it is forcing me to write formal essays in MLA and APA format, which I've never done but will be required in future classes and in MBA/MS classes that may come later. But then, I have to take six classes (military TA requirement at TESC) and it is 100% paid for, so it's just 12 weeks of practice, really. |
