I would definitely try to use at least one famous person example, whether a character from a well-known book or a person from history, it lends more weight to your essay than just a "friend" who you could have made up (Not saying that you would make someone up ![]() If you wanted to give an example and use an imaginary character like Suzy Smith to prove a point, that seems a little more reliable to me than using a friend or colleague. The changes made to the Clep Composition exams in 2010 can be a bit confusing, but the important thing to remember is this: If your college of choice doesn't require Modular, then there's no reason to take it! Just take the College Composition exam. The essay portion of this exam is administered and graded by the College Board. Modular on the other hand, has it's essay portion administered and graded by your college (usually there's no reason to take that version). College Compostion w. Does that mean I need to take the Modular? College Compostion w. Here's a link from their catalog that states that College Composition General is good for both English Composition 101 and 102: Undergraduate Ways to Earn Credit - Thomas Edison State College - acalog ACMSâ⢠Look under the CLEP heading, where the catalog states exactly which CLEP test are good for which classes. Incidentally, this page from their site along with the credit distribution for your particular degree choice are most of the info you need to plan your degree. College Compostion w.
