You can think about it for a short period of time. Normally, you get a year to think about it. In order to get the $99 price, I think they expect you to pay for it by the end of 2020.

Thank you! So the syllabus from ASM246 Human Origins says that it is 18 hours study a week. Is this accurate?

Which two other courses would you recommend based on how easy they are? I have included completed classes in my signature below. Thanks! Big Grin

Did Sophia English Composition 2 don't fulfil the English writing request for COSC?

The course isn't in the Sophia/COSC transfer list, but it is a pretty new course (was added by Sophia at ends of 2019), so maybe the reason why it isn't included in transfer list is because it is not updated...

Lol no way. They all say that. It takes far less

I agree with raycathode, they don't take that much time. The courses generally consist of 2-3 hours of video per week, the Cerego flashcards, and a quiz of some kind. I don't know how well you do with spoken English, but even if you have to watch the videos twice or at half-speed then it's really only 4-6 hours of study per week. (The video transcripts are also available for download.) For Human Origins in particular, there are also 50 PDFs to download over the 8 weeks of the course but I didn't spend much time on those. I downloaded them, glanced over them, saved them to read for later (because they're interesting) but pretty much everything you need to know is in the videos. Take notes and/or download the transcripts to study for the midterm & final exam.

There are multiple suggested readings on other sites and an entire reading list of books in the course but, again, these are entirely optional.

On the website https://charteroak.sophia.org/ they don't offer English Composition 2 unfortunately, or at least I never saw an option to be able to take it with my account. Otherwise I would have loved to as I really liked the site and the fact that they were free. At least I got through 16 others for free and signed up for two more before the deadline.

You have to ask Sophia to switch you to a generic account, then you have access to all the courses. I don't know why the Sophia page(s) are disappearing (TESU) or don't get updated (COSC) but I'm pretty sure that at least one member here has reported that English Comp II has been accepted by COSC.

Thank you so much! Spoken English is not a problem. I have already done socilogy and communications in my country but for EC i dont transfer these so i take these courses aswell and i would see how things goes. For Ec i need to start over with everything.

Oh no, I wish I would have know that when classes were free lol. It's all good though, cause I'm planning on taking 10 UL courses through study.com which will get me to 6 credits under the 90 ace credit limit anyways. Thanks for the heads up though, that's cool they can do that! Would be nice if they would have updated it though hahaha.

So it says preview and there is a upgrade button for credit track.

If it's self-paced, the preview lets you see the course before you decide to take it for credit. You'll want to upgrade. It doesn't cost you anything right now to do this. Even if you ultimately decide to drop it in favor of another class, this will cost you nothing. Normally, upgrading for credit costs $25 but it doesn't cost anything for these classes started right now.
