Straighterline New Proctor Policy Change - scorched - 10-22-2012 Just when I thought SL couldn't get more despicable! How slimy can one company be? Who started the wiki? Don't they have the final say to get this overturned? And if we do, lets just get their entry removed entirely. Straighterline New Proctor Policy Change - StraighterLine Team - 10-22-2012 jemen Wrote:i went to sign up for managerial accounting and it says proctor is required, thought we had til the 1st of Nov? We are currently transitioning the website so that every class clearly lists proctoring is required. However, this is only true for any course purchased on or after November 1st, 2012. If you have any concerns about this feel free to reach out to our student advisors at 877-787-8375 Toll Free or email them at advisor@straighterline.com. But I assure you that is when the proctoring requirement goes into affect. Straighterline New Proctor Policy Change - StraighterLine Team - 10-22-2012 Jackinrke Wrote:$99 + 49. + 30. The pricing models: Subscription - $99 per month + 49 per course registration fee (includes proctoring) Effective November 1st, 2012 A la carte - $399 per course (includes proctoring) Freshman year - $999 for upto 10 classes (includes proctoring) Straighterline New Proctor Policy Change - scorched - 10-22-2012 I suggest you find an alternative way to gain that credit. Hell at this point I think I may start a fund to pay people not use SL. jemen Wrote:i went to sign up for managerial accounting and it says proctor is required, thought we had til the 1st of Nov? Straighterline New Proctor Policy Change - rebel100 - 10-22-2012 We could privately host the "wiki" somewhere, then SL wouldn't be able to change it...I don't like that they were able to lock the wiki...that's a bunch of crap. I've been relatively quiet on this issue...but the degree forum wiki isn't theirs anymore than it's mine. I mean, yes Penn Foster is what? Like $275 a course, but if you are comfortable not taking a proctored examination via webcam, than Penn Foster is your best bet. Only if Penn Foster College can adapt a Straighterline structure of business. Such as introducing a new $98 a month take as many courses as you want type of fee, for the ACE courses they offer. I'm waiting on Penn Foster to chime in on this. *bites nails* Straighterline New Proctor Policy Change - scorched - 10-22-2012 This is exactly why wikipedia and other wiki's are lame. They let any person or company with money influence them, to allow deceptive posts and content to manipulate general consensus. Plus, I thought dcan formed the wiki? Doesn't that make him the local admin to control what is locked? If not we need to see why this Brandon, allowed himself to be influenced to lock out the truth on a wiki that doesn't belong to SL. And for their actions, this make SL, lower than the dog crap on someone's shoe! Straighterline New Proctor Policy Change - LaterBloomer - 10-22-2012 Uh, what? StraighterLine, I do NOT want to hear from you about your policy. You've proved to the members of the forum to be self-serving, and arrogant. Would other forum member tell me about their experiences with exams at, gulp, SL? Straighterline New Proctor Policy Change - Jackinrke - 10-22-2012 Yes, I was not correct on the new pricing. I mentioned that in another post. The web site did say 2 different thinks at the same time, that is where my confusion came from. So 99.00 + 49.00 is still a good price. |
